Women's Retreat

Dreaming Our Lives into Wholeness
November 10-11, 2007
Still Point Mountain Cabin

The dreams we have for ourselves can be ongoing revelations about who God is calling us to become. Divine revelations lead us toward Gods dream of wholeness or shalom.

Come explore with other women how your dreams are connected to the sacred fabric of wholeness that binds together God, self, community, and the world. In the process, we will all benefit from the beauty of the natural world surrounding us at this unique wilderness retreat. The retreat will be held at the beautiful Stillpoint Lodge, near Niles Cabin. Facilitators are Ann Delorey and Mindee Laumann, who lead an ongoing Women's Spirituality Group in Arlington, Virginia. The fee for the retreat is $110, and this includes one night of lodging, four meals, and the retreat materials. The deadline for registration is Oct. 12th. For more information, contact Ann at: akdelorey@yahoo.com or Mindee at Mindee62@comcast.net

Quote of the Day

Simplicity is a grace given to us by God ... a gift to be graciously received. Simplicity is also a discipline, which involves a consciously chosen course of action in both group and individual life. What we do does not give us simplicity, but it does put us in the place where we can receive it. It sets our lives before God in such a way that we are open to the grace of simplicity. Simplicity and solitude walk hand in hand along with silence. Solitude is the inward unity that frees us from the need for acclaim and approval. Through it we are enabled to be genuinely alone, for the fear of obscurity is gone; and, we are enabled to be genuinely with others, for they no longer control us. The grace of solitude must be rooted deep within if we are to know simplicity of heart.
