Rolling Ridge Annual Meeting
Saturday, November 10, 2007
at the Retreat House

You are warmly invited
to celebrate and experience

A Harvest of Blessings

In the 23 years since it was officially established, Rolling Ridge has been a gift to many: a place to come away awhile and be refreshed, a haven where God’s creation is cherished, a harbor of community, healing and hope. Like the mountain that is its home, Rolling Ridge is ever-evolving, with many streams flowing over its landscape, moving together and then apart, acorns sprouting in one place while tall oaks lay themselves down in another: the whole creation vibrant with the changes and transitions that are part of a life story. We come together to celebrate and honor that story, to mark the changes and passages and to give thanks for the abundant harvest of blessings that is Rolling Ridge. We hope you will join us for this annual time of renewal, celebration, gratitude and community-building among the larger circle of Rolling Ridge friends.

9:30 - A Hearty Welcome with coffee, tea, warm breads, muffins,
& a basket of autumn crisp apples

10:00 - Annual Meeting to reflect on our year together

Potluck Lunch* - share a plenteous harvest of delicious, seasonal dishes
prepared by everyone who desires to nurture one another in this way.

After the festive meal enjoy Rolling Ridge - take a walk, rest in a quiet corner,
converse with companions on the journey, journal, dance...

2:00 - A Time of Thanksgiving and Blessing with Keith and Rachelle
as they go forward on the next stage of their walk together, heeding the call
to return to the city and take up new challenges there.

Joyous sing-along led by members of the Psalm 150 Singers
of Shepherdstown Presbyterian Church with special guests.

Please RSVP to Jackie Sabath at304-724-6653 or jsabath@rollingridge.net.

To live in this world, you must
be able to do three things:
to love what is mortal;
to hold it against your bones
knowing your life depends on it;
and when the time comes, to let it go.

Quote of the Day

To pray is not to use special language; it is the sound of a cry or a laugh rising from ordinary days. Formal or official words can often be lifeless. To pray we need to return like children to an elemental language of soul, to something close to song, to chant, to playground singing.
